Role: Product Manager Front-End Applications (Life Sciences)

Years of Experience: 8+ years

Location: Onsite, Alameda, CA (Hybrid 2-3 days)

As a consultant within the Vertical team, you will work with our clients to define their digital strategy and execution roadmap, and design and implement differentiated digital solutions to help deliver measurable value.

Job Description:

    1. We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and optimization of front-end applications that empower users in the life sciences industry. In this role, you will work at the intersection of UX/UI, scientific workflows, and software engineering, delivering intuitive and compliant interfaces for researchers, clinicians, and data analysts.
    2. You will collaborate closely with design, engineering, quality assurance, and domain experts to deliver web-based products that accelerate discovery, improve lab productivity, and support healthcare and biotech innovation.
    3. Key Responsibilities
    4. Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for web-based front-end applications serving life sciences users.
    5. Collaborate with UX designers and researchers to deliver clean, accessible, and intuitive interfaces tailored for scientific workflows.
    6. Work closely with back-end and front-end engineers to scope and prioritize features with a focus on usability, performance, and scalability.
    7. Translate scientific and business requirements into product specs, user stories, and wireframes.
    8. Engage with users (e.g., biologists, lab techs, clinical researchers) to gather feedback and validate prototypes and releases.
    9. Ensure front-end applications comply with relevant regulatory and data privacy requirements (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, GDPR).
    10. Monitor KPIs, customer satisfaction, and product performance to drive continuous improvements.
    11. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
    12. Maintain awareness of industry trends in digital health, biotech software, and user-centric design.
    13. Qualifications

Required:

    1. 3 6 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on front-end or user-facing applications.
    2. Proven experience in the life sciences, healthcare, or digital health industries.
    3. Strong understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and how design translates into implementation.
    4. Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    5. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product discovery processes.
    6. Ability to interpret complex scientific or clinical requirements and translate them into intuitive product solutions.
    7. Preferred:
    8. Experience with lab information systems, electronic lab notebooks (ELNs), or clinical data platforms.
    9. Background in biology, chemistry, bioinformatics, or a related scientific discipline.
    10. Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
    11. Knowledge of data visualization frameworks or scientific data formats.
