Job Description:



  • The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of software development initiatives, from gathering business requirements and securing executive approval to program execution, delivery, and post-implementation review.

  • This role will oversee multiple software development projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, adherence to IT and SDLC processes, and delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage the delivery of complex software development projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring successful execution and delivery.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders while providing regular status updates to senior management.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, assignments, estimates, and risk management strategies.

  • Control project scope and enforce change management processes.

  • Resolve project issues and manage risks effectively.

  • Provide consistent updates to stakeholders on project strategy, adjustments, progress, and overall health.

  • Coordinate activities of cross-functional teams, including vendors, architects, business analysts, technical staff, and business stakeholders.

  • Ensure consistent application of Bell's SDLC processes, quality standards, and production turnover procedures.

  • Initiate projects by defining scope, objectives, high-level requirements, and solution architecture in alignment with enterprise architecture.

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success, identify process improvements, and enhance future performance.

  • Contribute to project portfolio management activities.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision and mentor junior Project Managers.


Requirements:



  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within software development or IT projects.

  • Strong background in IT infrastructure and software development projects (preferred).

  • Experience with organizational change management (preferred).

  • Proven track record managing large, cross-functional projects across both IT and business functions.

  • Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, issue analysis, and resolution.

  • Excellent communication and people management skills, including executive and stakeholder engagement.

  • Experience managing IT initiatives using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Passion for leading and implementing change across teams.

  • Strong time management skills; able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Collaborative approach to gaining buy-in for new processes across multiple functions.

  • Ability to motivate teams to deliver high-quality results within tight timeframes and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

  • PMP certification preferred.
