Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure with hands-on expertise in Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba wireless, networking protocols, and AWS networking services. This is a full-time on-site position that requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches in multi-site environments.
  • Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls, including security policy creation and threat prevention.
  • Support and enhance Aruba wireless infrastructure to ensure robust wireless connectivity.
  • Monitor network performance, conduct regular health checks, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Implement and maintain network services in AWS, including VPCs, Direct Connect, and security groups.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and IT projects.
  • Document network architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network-related incidents and outages.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS, routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).
  • Proficient with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama) and security best practices.
  • Experience deploying and managing Aruba wireless solutions (Aruba Central, ClearPass a plus).
  • Familiarity with AWS networking (VPC, VPN, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN).
  • Ability to analyze complex network problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCNA).
  • Palo Alto Networks certification (e.g., PCNSA, PCNSE).
  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking or Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, etc.).
  • Exposure to scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, etc.) is a plus
