Clinical Systems Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Systems Integration Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT, particularly with EHR systems like EPIC . In this role, you'll act as a key liaison between our business teams and external vendors, ensuring a seamless integration of a new hospital's clinical systems with our existing EPIC platform by 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who understands the clinical workflow and technical aspects of system integration without being a hands-on developer.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact between our business stakeholders and external vendors to manage the integration of new clinical systems with EPIC .
• Utilize your understanding of HL7 interfaces to facilitate technical discussions and ensure integration standards are met.
• Administer and manage multiple clinical systems, including user access and configuration changes. The cardiology department alone has approximately 15 systems.
• Work closely with clinical teams to understand workflows and help translate their needs into technical requirements.
• Assist in planning and coordinating data migration efforts. While you won't be performing the migration, any experience in this area is a significant plus.
• Ensure all new systems conform to our organization's standards and protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with EHR systems, specifically EPIC .
• Strong knowledge of HL7 interfaces and the system integration process within a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with cardiology systems such as Vuepoint , PhilipsICG , or Stray is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and business teams.
• Solid understanding of healthcare and clinical workflows.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic knowledge of SQL , as many of our clinical systems are built on this.
• Experience with network protocols.
• Relevant healthcare IT certifications are a plus.
