IT Implementation Engineer
REMOTE (EST) 8AM-5PM (M - F) 1-Year Contract
No C2C!!!!

This role involves coordinating data services and network infrastructure remediation for a large-scale network refresh project across multiple locations. The position requires independent work, problem-solving, and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer and implement various technologies including wireless, data routing/switching, and infrastructure cabling.

  • Manage a high volume of projects (50-100), ranging in size and complexity, with budgets up to $1 million.

  • Assess site requirements from surveys to determine necessary hardware (e.g., switches, routers, UPS, access points) for remediation.

  • Work with vendors to establish project requirements, order hardware, and coordinate installations.

  • Collaborate with networking engineers and third-party wireless designers.

  • Handle financial aspects of projects, including approving quotes, processing purchase orders, and approving invoices.

  • Ensure all installations and technical aspects of the network meet established standards and are properly documented in enterprise tools.

  • Test completed work, identify shortfalls, and see follow-up issues through to completion.

Top 3 Requirements:

  • IT Knowledge: At least 2 years of experience with networking and hardware requirements.

  • Project Coordination: 2-3 years of experience in facilitating and coordinating large-scale projects.

  • Organizational Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and familiarity with automation tools like ServiceNow.

Qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of IT, with the ability to apply it across different job areas.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with project/task management systems.

  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, BICSI, OSHA).

  • Experience in interpreting site surveys and coordinating data and wireless technologies.

  • Familiarity with network hardware, CAT-6, and fiber optics.

  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of an organization and third-party contractors.
