Senior Performance Quality Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Performance Quality Engineer in Westlake, TX.

Responsibilities:
* Embed integrated performance testing into CI pipelines to ensure early feedback during the development lifecycle using the Performance Self-Service Framework
* Lead application-level performance testing efforts, including scope definition, execution, monitoring, and remediation of performance issues
* Support initiatives such as Chaos Testing, SRE Performance Governance Gateways, and the Engineering Excellence Maturity Model Framework
* Continuously enhance technical skills and mentor senior engineers across the team
* Drive continuous improvement by challenging existing processes within the performance testing shared service
* Manage project status updates, initiate stakeholder discussions to resolve issues, and collaborate directly with users to define project requirements
* Identify and implement process improvements to optimize performance testing and delivery workflows

REQUIREMENTS:
* BS/MS in CS, IT, or related field
* 10+ years of experience in performance testing
* Expert in JMeter, Jenkins, and CI/CD
* AWS experience (EKS, S3, IAM, etc.)
* Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills

Experience with:
* Grafana/InfluxDB for test reporting
* GitHub/Bitbucket version control
* Splunk & Datadog monitoring tools
* Led enterprise-wide performance initiatives
* Technical leadership experience
* Strong systems architecture knowledge
* Agile testing (Kanban, Scrum)
* Automated tests via Jenkins
* API/UI testing with Selenium & JMeter
* Cloud provisioning with Terraform/CloudFormation
* Self-directed project ownership
* Proactive tool/process improvement

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
