System Administrator Summary & Requirements

Job Summary

• Deploys, maintains, and administers complex application software.
• Implements and integrates new technologies.
• Participates in departmental planning and policy development.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly learns new systems to improve efficiency and resolve issues.
• Engages with users to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
• Monitors and analyzes system performance and logs.
• Creates and maintains detailed system documentation and knowledge bases.
• Manages tasks effectively to meet deadlines and contributes actively in team meetings.
• Presents issues clearly with solution options for decision-makers.
• Provides Tier 2 and 3 support to end-user departments.
• Configures and supports platforms such as ServiceNow, Lawson, OnBase, Workday, Everbridge, and Quickbase.
• Recommends and enforces system policies, security, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Coordinates software patches and upgrades with vendors, minimizing downtime.
• Works with vendors on custom integrations and support.
• Builds and maintains strong vendor relationships.
• Collaborates across teams: DBAs, developers, network engineers, PMs, analysts, and security staff.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor s in Computer Science/IT or related field and 5+ years of experience
• OR High School/GED and 10+ years of experience
• Certifications or experience with ServiceNow, Lawson, OnBase, Workday, Quickbase, or Everbridge
