Senior ColdFusion Developer

The ideal candidate will take part in the design, programming, testing, and implementation of enhancements to our legacy applications as well as providing innovative solutions for our new software. Job Duties

• Participate in the design and implementation of high quality, cost effective web applications to meet both internal as well as clients' needs
• Accurately translate business requirements into effective, efficient, secure, well-written code
• Perform peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Take ownership of assigned development projects
• Protect company operations by maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when working with sensitive data
• Apply the same knowledge and skills to both new development as well as maintenance of existing systems
• Monitor application efficiencies to identify means of enhancing performance
• Work in collaboration with clients to troubleshoot issues and provide professional support for enterprise systems
• Assist with the writing of software technical documentation including requirements specifications, design documents, and test plans
• Use your expertise to help elevate the skill sets of other team members, and be willing to accept the same from them
• Demonstrate motivation to acquire new skills and keep 'upping your game'

Required Skills and Qualifications

• BS Degree in relevant subject plus five (5) years minimum experience, or ten (10) years minimum experience in web development and database design
• Extensive experience with Adobe ColdFusion 10+
• Experience with Lucee 4/5
• Solid experience with MS SQL Server 2008+, including performance analysis, index design, stored procedures and functions.
• Experience with one or more CF frameworks, especially FW/1
• Experience with both Windows and Linux server environment.
• ColdFusion / Lucee configuration and lockdown procedures
• CommandBox scripting
• Bash scripting
• PowerShell scripting
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS, XML, AJAX, jQuery
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket
• Ability to work both independently as well as with teams.
• Strong attention to detail, strong written and verbal skills

Additional Beneficial Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in/Knowledge of the Background Screening industry
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS S3, EC2
• Experience with other software development languages, including Node.js, C#, Java, .NET
• Experience with front-end development technologies, especially React.js, SASS/Less, Bootstrap
• Experience with message bus and/or microservice architectures.
• Experience with "no SQL" technologies (e.g., graph databases, document databases, etc.)
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and/or similar tools as part of the software development lifecycle
• Experience with DevOps related skills, including:IIS / Apache / NGINX configuration
