Job Description Java Developer (Ex-Walmart Preferred)

Position: Java Developer(Onsite)
Employment Type:Contract W2

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale applications. Candidates with previous experience at Walmart (ex-Walmart consultants/employees) are strongly preferred, as they will bring domain knowledge and exposure to large-scale retail systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver scalable solutions.

  • Work with Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs to build distributed systems.

  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.

  • Contribute to architecture discussions and ensure solutions follow best practices.

  • Leverage knowledge of retail/e-commerce systems (preferably Walmart ecosystem) to add value to project requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional Java development experience.

  • Strong expertise in Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices, REST APIs.

  • Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).

  • Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems is a plus.

  • Proficient in SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Ex-Walmart experience required/preferred exposure to Walmart's systems, scale, and enterprise best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in retail, supply chain, or e-commerce domains.
