Overview:

We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to support our client in implementing a financial management system. This role involves independently validating that the system meets state requirements, follows development best practices, and delivers expected functionality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in analyzing documentation, evaluating deliverables against requirements, and providing objective assessments of project quality and progress.

Duties:

• Lead requirements gathering and analysis for IT projects, translating business needs into technical specifications

• Manage and execute Agile projects using Scrum methodologies, including facilitating sprint ceremonies and backlog prioritization

• Oversee cloud solution implementations, ensuring alignment with business requirements and security standards

• Develop technical and business requirement documentation for IT systems and processes

• Create user stories, wireframes, and prototypes following user-centered design principles

• Perform gap analysis between current state and future state systems and processes

• Provide technical oversight for implementation projects, including verification and validation activities

• Ensure solutions meet security and compliance requirements, particularly for government systems

• Coordinate across functional teams to drive project success and alignment

• Conduct iterative testing and refinement of systems based on user feedback

• Present recommendations and status updates to leadership and project stakeholders

Mandatory Qualifications: (must be qualifiable)

• 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst for IT projects

• 3+ years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst and design within the last 10 years

• 2+ years' experience leading IT Projects utilizing Agile software development methodologies within the last 7 years

• Strong knowledge of user-centered design and iterative development

• 1+ year of experience dedicated to performing cloud solution implementation oversight activities for at least 1 project within the last 5 years.

• 1+ year of experience performing technical and business requirement analysis for at least 1 project within the last 5 years.

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Certified Administrator, Certified Systems Information Security Professional (CISSP), or more than 7 years' experience with government cloud-based solutions.

• 1+ year experience providing services based on IEEE Standard 1012 to a government entity.
