Job Description:

ASG is seeking a Technical Solution Architect to manage technical proposal development efforts for government contracts, particularly in the Information Technology (IT) and Cloud services sectors as well as support of various direct customer projects. This role requires an individual with not just strong technical skills in systems architecture, cloud computing, and IT security, but also exceptional abilities in technical writing and managing both internal and external resources during the solution development and proposal writing process.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with the proposal team to understand the requirements outlined in federal government RFPs.
  • Translate RFP requirements into comprehensive solution architectures, including technical approaches, system designs, and implementation strategies.
  • Develop and document technical solution designs, diagrams, and implementation plans tailored to the specific needs of each proposal.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for proposal development.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on technical solutions related to federal government projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in federal government IT environments.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on technology selection, integration, and implementation strategies to meet federal government requirements effectively.

What We Need:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, with a track record of designing and delivering complex technical solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills to convey complex IT solutions effectively.
  • Must be able to lead solution development sessions for writing proposals.
  • Skilled in the design and evaluation of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in conducting rigorous technical analysis and articulating solutions through compelling narrative and graphical representations within proposals, white papers, and other client directed documents.
  • Experienced in various proposal forms, including written, coding contest, orals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a geographically disparate team environment.
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including facilitating discussions and presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Familiarities and/or experiences with one or more of the following:

  • Cloud Architecture, Technology, and Services (especially AWS).
  • Security Architecture (Identity Management IAM, OAuth / OIDC, etc.).
  • Cloud Native Application Design & Architecture (i.e., Containerized Service Components and Container Orchestration Platforms like Kubernetes for distributed architecture).
  • Data Management and Analytics services in AWS.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD automation.
  • API Design, Management & Microservices Architecture.
  • Solution Architecture with AoA background.
  • Experience supporting government technical proposals.
  • Certifications such as AWS, CISSP, Azure, VMware or equivalent are highly desirable.
