Location: Hybrid in Reston, VA
  • This position is primarily remote.

Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a senior and highly skilled Lead ServiceNow Developer to join a team focused on a mission-critical business application. In this role, you will move beyond standard ITSM work and take the lead on designing and developing complex customizations for a Customer Service Management (CSM) application. This platform is used by call center agents at major health plans to manage customer inquiries, and your work will be central to its success. We are looking for a true developer who enjoys deep, technical, "under the hood" challenges and has experience building modern user experiences within ServiceNow.
You will
Design, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform with a primary focus on the Customer Service Management (CSM) module.
Create and modify configurable workspaces using UI Builder (UIB) to enhance the user experience.
Develop and maintain custom scripts, including Business Rules and Client Scripts, to meet specific business requirements.
Build and support integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using APIs and web services.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to ServiceNow platform functionality and performance.

Required Qualifications

8 years of experience in software design and development, with at least 5 years of dedicated experience in ServiceNow Development.
A Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
Verifiable ServiceNow Certified Developer certification.
Deep, hands-on experience customizing the ServiceNow CSM module.
Demonstrated, hands-on experience with UI Builder (UIB) and configurable workspaces.
Strong proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts) and experience with API-based integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow Certified Administrator certification.
Experience with recent ServiceNow versions such as Xanadu or Yokohama.
Experience in other ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, or SOM
