Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership

    • Define and execute the enterprise data-science strategy, ensuring full alignment with overall business objectives.

  2. Problem Solving & Innovation

    • Address complex, ambiguous business challenges with advanced analytical techniques-driving innovative, data-driven solutions that deliver measurable impact.

  3. Team Leadership & Mentorship

    • Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team of data scientists. Provide hands-on coaching, foster collaboration and champion continuous professional growth.

  4. End-to-End Project Ownership

    • Own the full life cycle of data-science initiatives-from problem framing and hypothesis design to model development, deployment and post-production evaluation.

  5. Technical Excellence & Research

    • Bring deep expertise in statistical modelling, machine-learning algorithms, deep learning, optimisation and related disciplines.

    • Evaluate and apply emerging capabilities in generative AI, large-language models and agent-based architectures to expand the organisation's analytical toolkit.

  6. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

    • Partner with executives, product managers, engineers and business leaders to capture requirements, prioritise use-cases and translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights.

  7. Data Management & Governance

    • Oversee data-management strategy-including collection, storage, integration and quality assurance-and enforce robust governance and privacy standards.

  8. Influence & Decision-Making

    • Shape business strategy through predictive modelling, scenario analysis and data-driven recommendations; champion a data-first culture across the organisation.

  9. Promoting Data Literacy

    • Lead the internal data-science community and spearhead initiatives that elevate data literacy enterprise-wide.




Required Skills & Qualifications




Category Requirements
Education Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
Experience 15 + years of hands-on data-science, machine-learning and analytics leadership with a proven record of delivering business value.
Technical Skills Expert programming in Python, R and SQL.
Strong command of statistical modelling, ML algorithms and data-mining methods.
Experience with big-data ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
Proficient in data-visualisation and storytelling.
Familiarity with generative AI, LLMs and agent-based systems.
Professional Skills Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability.
Clear, compelling written and verbal communication.
Demonstrated leadership in coaching and motivating technical teams.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen-able to link insights to outcomes.
