Job Description
The Production Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical production plans across multiple U.S.-based manufacturing facilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring on-time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and strong alignment across procurement, logistics, operations, and international partners. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, collaborative, and experienced in using data and systems to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and optimize production schedules across multiple manufacturing facilities to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
Partner closely with Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure effective material flow, inventory balance, and production execution.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate scheduling and capacity risks to maintain continuity of operations.
Support demand planning activities by collaborating with Sales and Procurement to provide visibility into lead times, capacity constraints, and production feasibility.
Create, maintain, and analyze capacity models to support short-term planning and long-term strategic initiatives.
Lead and participate in cross-functional planning initiatives focused on improving operational performance and planning processes.
Coordinate with international manufacturing and supply partners in France and Thailand to align global production and import activities.
Utilize ERP/MRP and planning systems to monitor KPIs, track performance, and improve planning accuracy and accountability.
Support labor and resource planning in alignment with forecasted volumes and operational constraints.
Maintain clear documentation and communication of production plans; proactively adjust schedules as business needs change.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, procurement, or program management.
Proven experience in food manufacturing and shift-based production environments.
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations and end-to-end supply chain processes.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills across the Microsoft Office Suite.
Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems for integrated planning and performance reporting.
Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused with a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
