About the Role:

The Ratings Division is looking to hire a Sr. Full-Stack Developer to lead hands on development and provide design pattern insight. S&P Global structured finance value stream technology team in the Ratings Divisions consists of geographically diversified software engineers responsible to develop scalable solutions by working directly with product development team. Our team culture is oriented towards equality in the realm of software engineering irrespective of hierarchy promoting innovation. One should feel empowered to iterate over ideas and experimentation without being afraid of failure.
Responsibilities and Impact:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java/UI Developer with over 5 years of experience in front-end development. Expertise in Java, Springboot, R eactJS and micro frontend (MFE) architectures is required, with a preferred background in Java, Spring Boot and microservices. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying innovative technology solutions for S&P Global Ratings products, leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

- Experience in design, architect and build microservices based distributed systems in serverless environment (preferred Container platforms)
- Good understanding on front end technologies like React/Angular/ext JS
- Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with different data base technologies (like RDBMS, NOSQL) and Data modeling
- Experience in Automated Unit Testing frameworks
- Experience in enforcing the Security, Engineering principles along with Quality standards.
- Experience in trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Design and maintain application architecture including database schema and API design.
- Proficiency in the development environment, including IDE, web & application server, GIT, Azure DevOps, unit-testing tool and defect management tools
- knowledge of system architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Domain knowledge in the Financial Industry and Capital Markets.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, Load Balancer, Security Group, EMR, Lambda, S3, Glue, etc.).
- Experience in DevOps development and deployment using Docker and containers.
