Job Details
Job Title: Business Analyst 3
Duration: 12 months
Location: Austin, TX
Key responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements for assigned projects.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and design specifications aligned with agency standards.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and development teams.
- Manage requirements throughout the SDLC, ensuring traceability and quality.
- Support post-implementation reviews and identify enhancement opportunities.
Required Qualification:
- 8+ years of Experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements
- 8+ years of Experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs)
- 8+ years of experience of Business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement experience
- 8+ years of Experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices
- 8+ years of Experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
- 5+ years of Experience Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
- 5+ years of Experience Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
Preferred Qualification:
- 3+ years of Experience Documented work experience with the requirements management software "Modern Requirements"
- 3+ years of Experience Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
- 2+ years of Experience Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
- 1+ years of Experience with Teacher Incentive Allotment program, federal/state grant programs, or student outcome data.
