Responsibilities

In the Data Analyst, Managed Care Analytics role you will evaluate large data sets and guide projects from conceptualization to completion by contributing to the research and data analytics support for Ascension Managed Care.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects to completion by contributing to the development of payer strategy tools, market landscape dashboards with benchmark pricing data, and facility contract models.
  • Effectively develop quantitative and qualitative analyses with the goal of effectively communicating data insights to stakeholders through the development of various reporting tools - including but not limited to - dashboards, custom data sets, slides, and complete analysis documentation.
  • Apply proven critical thinking skills in order to anticipate questions from key stakeholders and consider all aspects of an analysis before completion.
  • Collaborate and grow relationships with different areas to create a connection between trend evaluations and financial results.
  • Assist other analysts in creating and reviewing analyses.
Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration, Math, Statistics, Economics, or a related degree.
  • Between 0-3 years of experience in data analytics.
  • Experience in healthcare analytics reporting on the business side preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of SQL, Tableau, and Google Sheets/Excel for data cleaning, analysis, reporting, and visualization. Experience with programmatic data analysis tools would be an added plus.
  • Effective communication across various departments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning and problem solving skills.
  • Flexibility in work habits and patterns in order to respond to the constant and numerous changes impacting the healthcare environment.
