Job Summary

Job Description

Under minimal supervision, partner with Finance and business stakeholders to develop and maintain departmental business intelligence, reporting, and analytics solutions.

Drive business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers.

Develop, monitor, and report department KPIs and metrics, translating business requirements into the appropriate analytics solution.

Provide project oversight, coaching, and mentoring to the BI team.

Act as a point of contact for the Financial Planning & Analysis team, providing support and expertise on data and analytics inquiries

  • Produce actionable reports and Power BI dashboards that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems.
  • Create, review, and performance tune dashboards. Ensure dashboards are accurate and display meaningful visual stories. Optimize dashboards for faster user experience as well as visually appealing views.
  • Assist in conversion of legacy reports (AlteryX/Tableau) to newer tools (Microsoft Fabric/Power BI).
  • Conduct data analysis in support of a variety of analytic solutions. Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities.
  • Develop complex SQLs and procedures. This includes performance tuning SQL.
  • Work with business users to identify analytics requirements on for projects. Provide recommendations on analysis options to help solve business problems.
  • Provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests across multiple business areas.
  • Troubleshoot Business Intelligence tools, systems, and software. This includes tracking performance and production problems.
  • Project oversight, training, and coaching.


Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 3 years of dashboard development experience using PowerBI.
  • At least 3 years of experience levering SQL for data analysis and performance tuning.
  • At least 3 years of data modeling experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, proficient in MS Word.


Preferred Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering or other related field.
  • Experience working with Python and Spark.
  • Experience working with Tableau (to assist transition to PowerBI).
  • Experience supporting Finance teams / stakeholders

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$96,200.00 - $144,560.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
