Job Description:

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • This role is for a skilled Data Movement Engineer, preferably with extended experience with the IBM Sterling B2B Suite.
  • The IBM Sterling Suite of products include, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling B2Bi, SSP, SEAS, Global Mailbox and PEM.
  • Having experience with Cloud solutions is a must. Specifically experience with OpenShift and containerized solutions.
  • Engineers with a skillset anchored by Axway MFT would be considered, but ONLY with very strong OpenShift skills.
  • We are looking for an engineer that is able to work both collaboratively and independently to accomplish goals.
  • Documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with the team are critical to the success of this role.
  • Differentiating skills for the role include deep knowledge of PEM and experience with the OpenShift platform.

Roles & Responsibilities

Engineers with Sterling B2B, Axway B2Bi and strong OpenShift skills only needed.

  • Sterling B2B Integrator Administration:
  • Installation, upgrade, and patching of Sterling Integrator, File Gateway, and related components.
  • Troubleshooting connectivity issues (e.g., SFTP, AS2, HTTPS).
  • Experience with Sterling Control Center and other management tools.
  • Understanding B2B protocols and their configurations.
  • Partner Engagement Manager (PEM) Management:
  • Onboarding new partners using PEM.
  • Managing partner profiles and certificates.
  • Understanding the PEM Community Manager (PCM) and its integration with Sterling Integrator.
  • Using REST APIs for partner setup and configuration.
  • Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP) Management:
  • Configuring and managing SSP to secure communication between internal servers and external partners.
  • Understanding SSP's role in protecting the trusted network.

Job descriptions:

  • Experience with specific versions of Sterling Integrator (e.g., 5.x/6.x).
  • Experience with other B2B suite products like Connect:Direct, Secure Transport, and API Gateway.
  • Proficiency in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Sterling Integrator, including its various components
  • Experience with creating and managing data maps, including the ability to transform data between different formats and systems
  • Knowledge of designing and implementing automated workflows within Sterling Integrator
  • Familiar with various protocols like FTP, SFTP, and AS2
  • Understanding of EDI standards and format s, particularly X12 and other relevant data formats
  • Ability to work with databases and SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data within the Sterling Integrator environment
  • A good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls, is helpful for troubleshooting communication issues
  • Experience with Unix, Linux, or Windows
  • Proficiency in changing certificates and PGP keys.
  • Experience with onboarding partners and troubleshooting connectivity.
  • Knowledge of B2B APIs and BP Maps.
  • Understanding of BPML (Business Process Management Language).
  • Managing and optimizing middleware components within a containerized environment like OpenShift.
  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of middleware technologies
  • Collaborating with development and operations teams, implementing security measures
