Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and clinical objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across Cerner solutions and modules, including PowerChart, CPOE, Ambulatory, FirstNet, Clinical Documentation, ePrescribe, PathNet (Laboratory), RadNet (Radiology), PharmNet (Pharmacy), SurgiNet (Surgery), ProFile (Revenue Cycle), and Cerner Command Language (CCL).
  • Provide advanced technical expertise in system integration, database management, infrastructure support, network configuration, and CCL scripting.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of HL7 and FHIR standards to support data exchange, interoperability, and integration across clinical systems.
  • Lead EHR-related projects, including implementations and go-lives, by defining scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful on-time execution.
  • Collaborate with clinical stakeholders to analyze workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and implement best practices that enhance efficiency and patient care.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high standards of data integrity within the EHR system.
  • Configure and customize EHR functionality, including templates, forms, order sets, and user interfaces, to support organizational and clinical workflow needs.
  • Develop training materials and deliver end-user training to promote effective, compliant, and efficient use of the EHR system.
  • Ensure EHR compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, Meaningful Use, MIPS/MACRA, and other applicable requirements.
  • Generate and analyze advanced EHR reports to evaluate system performance, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
