ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Information Technology, the IT Systems  Administrator plays a critical role in strengthening daily IT operations and supporting AOF’s SaaS-first technology environment by ensuring the stability, security, and effective operation of core technology systems. This role includes administration of Microsoft 365, identity and access management through Okta, operational support of the organization’s Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environment, endpoint management via Intune and MaaS360, Tier 3 support for escalated issues, and ownership of DNS, domain renewals, and SSL/TLS certificate management.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Systems Administration
    • Support and maintain Windows servers and core infrastructure services.
    • Perform system monitoring, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled tasks.
    • Manage patching across servers, devices, and critical applications.
  • Microsoft 365 / SaaS Administration
    • Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and related M365 services.
    • Maintain user accounts, groups, permissions, and retention/security policies.
    • Support data governance, M365 security configurations, and service health monitoring.
  • Identity & Access Management
    • Administer Okta lifecycle processes including provisioning, deprovisioning, MFA enforcement, group membership, and application assignments.
    • Maintain and update SSO integrations and support periodic access and permissions reviews across core systems.
  • Business Application Access Support (Salesforce Ecosystem)
    • Manage identity lifecycle, SSO provisioning, MFA enforcement, and license assignment for Salesforce, Slack, Tableau Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and related applications.
    • Collaborate with platform administrators and vendors to ensure access controls align with security, compliance, and data governance requirements.
    • Troubleshoot access and authentication issues, escalating platform-specific issues to Salesforce/Slack/Tableau administrators as appropriate.
  • Cloud Operations
    • Google Cloud Platform (Primary Responsibility)
      • Administer AOF’s Google enterprise environment, including organization-level configurations, identity and access controls, and enterprise service integrations.
      • Support provisioning and deprovisioning of Google accounts through Okta and ensure consistent identity and access management across all Google services.
      • Manage Google Workspace–related services used across the organization, ensuring configurations align with AOF security, identity, and compliance standards.
      • Perform monitoring, policy updates, configuration changes, and access reviews for IT-managed Google Cloud Platform resources.
      • Collaborate with designated infrastructure support partners for Linux VM or application-level administration hosted within Google Cloud Platform, ensuring a clear separation of operational responsibilities.
    • AWS (Operational Administration)
      • Provide operational administration and oversight for AWS environments, including monitoring, tagging, access management, and cost controls.
      • Perform routine AWS operational tasks such as health checks, logging review, and service monitoring.
      • Support updates and basic maintenance within AWS environments in coordination with internal teams and infrastructure partners.
      • Assist with evaluating and supporting EC2 virtual machine use cases as needed, while Linux VM and application hosting remain supported by designated infrastructure teams.
    • Scope Clarification
      • This role supports cloud environments at the enterprise and operational level.
      • Linux VM administration and application hosting remain the responsibility of designated infrastructure support partners.
  • Endpoint Management & Device Lifecycle
    • Administer Intune/MaaS360 policies, device compliance rules, and configuration profiles.
    • Support device provisioning, refresh cycles, and endpoint security posture.
    • Maintain device inventory and lifecycle documentation.
  • Domain, DNS, and Certificate Administration
    • Manage GoDaddy domain registrations, renewals, DNS records, and domain hygiene.
    • Track, procure, renew, and install SSL/TLS certificates across systems.
    • Maintain certificate expiration alerts and ensure timely renewal to prevent service disruption.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Support system hardening, patching, logging, and endpoint protection.
    • Assist with incident response, vulnerability remediation, and audit documentation.
    • Ensure IT controls are followed and maintained per policy requirements.
  • Tier 3 Escalations & Troubleshooting
    • Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for advanced IT issues.
    • Troubleshoot complex identity, M365, cloud, networking, and endpoint problems.
    • Develop and maintain SOPs, documentation, and runbooks to support operational consistency.
  • Project Support
    • Participate in IT projects including migrations, upgrades, and operational improvements.
    • Collaborate with teams across Security, Engineering, Compliance, and business operations.

MUST HAVES:  

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in systems or SaaS/cloud administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) or similar cloud environments.
  • Experience administering Okta or another identity management platform.
  • Experience with Intune or MaaS360 for endpoint management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong documentation practices and process discipline.

NICE TO HAVES:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as:
    • Microsoft 365 Administrator
    • Okta Certified Administrator
    • Google Cloud Associate Engineer
  • Experience in a financial services or regulated environment.
  • Experience in SaaS-first IT environments.

Salary Range*: $88,300 - $111,200
