Novacoast Staffing is assisting our Federal Financial client in their search for a highly skilled Windows Administrator/ Windows 11 Specialist. This is an onsite position in Alexandria VA that is expected to go for 2 years with the option to extend another 3 years. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining approximately 2,000 Windows 11 laptops, ensuring that BIOS, firmware, and drivers are up-to-date, and resolving any hardware or software issues. This role involves working closely with the hardware vendor on AUTOPILOT and INTUNE configurations as well as managing software packages and device compliance. Because this role is with a Federal company, ship is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a test lab with various models of Windows 11 laptops and oversee the maintenance of approximately 2,000 laptops.
Keep BIOS, firmware, and all drivers (NIC, video, audio, etc.) updated on laptops and docking stations.
Perform testing in the lab before deploying updates or changes to ensure stability and functionality.
Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving trending issues with laptop hardware or software.
Oversee and manage the AUTOPILOT and INTUNE configuration processes in collaboration with hardware vendors, ensuring seamless laptop domain join sequences.
Track and monitor laptops via INTUNE to ensure they are regularly checking in and receiving updates; take corrective action as necessary.
Monitor the Tenable Nessus workstation dashboard to identify and remediate any software vulnerabilities.
Collaborate on the configuration, setup, and daily management of INTUNE for mobile devices.
Act as a backup in creating and managing software packages for delivery.
Utilize ServiceNow for the review, evaluation, assignment, and working of end-user support tickets.
Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures related to device management, including patching, reporting, and analytics for both laptops and mobile devices.

Required Qualifications:
CompTIA A+ certification (mandatory).
Minimum of 3 years' experience with Windows administration, INTUNE, AUTOPILOT, and remote device management.

Recent Windows 11 experience required.
Minimum of 2 years experience with network infrastructure and system security.
Proficiency in using ServiceNow for handling support tickets and IT service management processes.
Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Tenable Nessus and vulnerability management.
Previous experience working in a test lab environment.
