Job Details

Piper Companies is seeking a Systems Administrator to join an established Healthcare Organization located in Philadelphia. This position is 100% REMOTE. The Systems administrator will be Responsible for fulfilling business requirements using sound, proven, industry best practices and in accordance with architectural standards and engineering methodology.

Responsibilities of the Systems Administrator:
  • Build and support server infrastructure and systems.
  • Maintain the server and virtual machine environments.
  • Manage physical and virtual server environments using sound processes and procedures.
  • Handle service, incident, and change request ticket management.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.


Qualifications of the Systems Administrator:
  • Experience in healthcare settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues related to server administration and operations, system software, storage management, backup methodology, virtualization, monitoring and management tools, business continuity, and high availability solutions.
  • Ability to provide hardware estimates and support hardware and related applications.
  • Experience in analyzing, coordinating, and implementing infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to monitor system performance and capacity, and provide periodic system status reports to department management.
  • Ability to analyze reports to identify trends and opportunities for process and technology enhancements.
  • Ability to provide cost and trend analysis and resolutions to critical infrastructure problems.


Compensation for the Systems Administrator:

Hourly Rate: $50.0-$60.0 per hour ***depending on experience***
