Title: Technical Program Manager (Healthcare)
Location: Nashville, TN (2-3 days onsite/ week)
Duration: 12+ months
Summary:
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead digital transformation initiatives while also managing day-to-day IT operations, including applications, network operations, security operations, and ITSM service management, within a mental healthcare provider environment. The ideal candidate will have strong program and operations management skills, client relationship experience, and the ability to oversee distributed onshore-offshore teams. This role requires working knowledge of cloud and architecture concepts to guide discussions, but not hands-on technical depth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of digital transformation initiatives across applications, cloud adoption, and integrations.
- Manage IT operations, including application support, network operations, and security operations, ensuring stability, compliance, and resilience.
- Oversee ITSM processes and service tool management (incident, problem, change, and service request management), ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices.
- Serve as the client-facing leader for both transformation programs and steady-state operations, handling governance, reporting, and escalations.
- Coordinate and manage distributed delivery teams (onshore-offshore), ensuring structured daily handovers, ceremonies, and collaboration.
- Implement governance and compliance frameworks in line with HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and healthcare standards.
- Guide sprint planning, scrum ceremonies, and Agile program delivery practices to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with architects and technical leads to validate high-level designs and cloud strategies, leveraging working knowledge of cloud (Azure preferred; AWS/Google Cloud Platform beneficial) and architecture principles.
- Ensure proactive monitoring, ITSM-driven service delivery, incident/problem resolution, and risk mitigation across all operations.
- Align operational excellence with strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring seamless handoff to steady-state operations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager in healthcare or other regulated industries.
- Working knowledge of cloud environments (Azure; AWS/Google Cloud Platform beneficial) and high-level architecture concepts.
- Strong background in IT operations, network operations, and security operations (NOC/SOC, ITIL practices).
- Hands-on experience managing ITSM processes and service tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA Service Management, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and scaled delivery models.
- Expertise in program governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Ability to lead and motivate distributed onshore-offshore delivery teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to balance innovation, operational stability, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.
