- Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Azure Resource Manager/Bicep templates) to provision and manage cloud resources
- Enable consistent environmental builds across development, staging, and production in compliance with FedRAMP deployment processes
- Integrate identity and access management (Azure AD, RBAC) into the infrastructure design
- Ensure least-privilege access to resources and implement multi-factor authentication and role segregation in line with NIST SP 800-53 controls
- Incorporate government security standards (DISA STIGs, CIS benchmarks) when configuring OS images and network settings
- Ensure data protections such as encryption at rest/in transit (using Azure Key Vault and SSL/TLS) are in place
- Plan and implement network connectivity (ExpressRoute or VPN) and cross-domain solutions if needed
- Link Azure Secret or on-premises environment, carefully managing data flows to maintain compliance with classified network policies
- Lead technical decision-making and peer reviews for architecture changes
