Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Acton, MA that is seeking a Technical Writer with hands-on experience in structured content management systems to support the migration and implementation of a DITA-based platform. This role blends technical writing, process documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to enable scalable content delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the implementation and migration to a component content management system (CCMS)
* Document processes during the transition from unstructured to structured content workflows
* Collaborate with content strategists, labeling designers, and external consultants to ensure successful CCMS adoption

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Technical Communication, Library Science, or related field
* 3+ years of experience in technical writing, content administration, or CMS management
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Acrobat)
* Experience creating user-facing instructional manuals
* Strong project management and communication skills

Preferred Skills
* Familiarity with DITA and structured content systems
* Experience with collaboration tools such as Miro, Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheet
* Background in healthcare, life sciences, or diabetes-related content
* Ability to understand and communicate technical and clinical concepts clearly

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
