Role Summary
We're looking for a strategic and execution-focused Customer Communications Contractor with 3-5 years of experience to support key initiatives across customer messaging, channel orchestration, and technology integration. This role will help drive the evolution of our customer communications ecosystem, including SMS channel expansion, migration to Adobe V8, and the deployment of GenAI/ML insights to enable personalized, timely, and relevant messaging experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Messaging Strategy & Execution
- Support the launch and enhancement of SMS marketing campaigns, including backend enablement, opt-in strategy, and migration planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align messaging across outbound (email, SMS, push) and inbound (app, web, IVR) channels.
- Assist in designing and documenting messaging frameworks:
- Message tiering and sequencing
- Urgency prioritization (instant vs. non-urgent)
- Ideal channel selection
- Optimal timing and frequency capping
- Suppression logic and customer preferences
Technology Integration & Enablement
- Partner with platform teams to support the migration of marketing and service SMS campaigns to Adobe V8.
- Help coordinate efforts across teams using disparate asset management systems (AEM, OneDrive, Smartsheets) to ensure consistent messaging and asset usage.
- Contribute to the identification and implementation of a centralized Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution that integrates with internal and external platforms.
GenAI/ML Communications Support
- Assist in the development of a strategic roadmap to deploy GenAI/ML for omnichannel asset performance insights.
- Translate technical insights into actionable communications that support creative optimization and personalized customer engagement.
- Support pilot programs and stakeholder education around GenAI/ML capabilities.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in customer communications, marketing operations, or digital strategy.
- Strong understanding of omnichannel messaging and customer journey orchestration.
- Experience with SMS marketing platforms, Adobe Experience Manager, and customer data platforms (CDPs) preferred.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with GenAI/ML concepts and their application in marketing.
- Experience in telecom, media, or enterprise-scale customer communications.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for customer experience and innovation.
Additional Qualifications:
The team is focused on upselling messaging, customer retention. The VP wanted to stand up this operations unit and they are separated in Audience Health, Delivery Management (partnership with various teams), and Journey Optimization.
This role is focused on the Journey Optimization pillar
This person will be focused on project and delivery management - they have several long term projects this person will be supporting. They are migrating the email and sms marketing into the same platform.
They are also tasked with rolling out AI capabilities to get the marketing team to create messaging quicker.
This person needs to understand marketing and communications
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
