Responsibilities:
- Finance support for the Locomotive Products division
- Financial closing process and ensuring US GAAP and policy compliance
- Account reconciliation process, driving towards no unreconciled balances
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring they accurately reflect the company's financial position
- Assist with standard cost roll and physical inventory
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data
- Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any findings promptly
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and manage financial risks effectively
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting required. Certifications in accounting or finance can be beneficial. Audit experience preferred.
- Accounting Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, such as staff accountant, financial analyst, or senior accountant.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Oracle and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or BI. One Stream/HFM experience is beneficial.
- Problem-solving profile.
- Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and documentation.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and workflow processes.
