JOB SUMMARY –

The QA Analyst will participate in all assigned activities related to the planning, coordinating, executing and reporting of all test initiatives required to validate client-facing applications, internal software applications and integration with external applications. The Analyst will work closely with the project teams to prepare and execute automated and manual test plans and test cases, design test matrix, prepare test data, identify expected results, execute tests, validate data output, log/facilitate bug resolutions, create reports and follow up activities related to assigned projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –                                                                                                                                                         

  • Execute and validate projects performed through independent validation and verification of various client-facing applications, internal IT systems and integration with external applications.
  • Solid understanding of the software testing process and methodology from Unit Testing through User Acceptance including  Functional, System and Integration, Regression, Automation, Load, Performance and Stress testing.
  • Review requirement specification documents to gain a functional understanding of the application(s). Participate in requirements meetings verifying the testability of requirements.
  • Identify, document, and communicate all issues discovered during test case creation and test execution following documented issues reporting procedures and processes.
  • Coordinate with project team to facilitate and validate issues and bringing those to closure.
  • Create status reports and test metrics.
  • Create regression test suites and scripts using Test Automation Tool.
  • Assist in Change Management functions, as assigned.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Manager.

                    

REQUIREMENTS –

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of software testing experience.
  • Extensive testing of web applications.
  • Experience in testing APIs.
  • Strong hands-on experience of writing SQL queries for data verification.
  • Experience in interpreting and manipulating XML and JSON messages for testing.
  • Good understanding of web architecture and protocols.
  • Usage of at least one Test Management tool.
  • Familiarity with Financial Systems applications and terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Self-directed motivated professional requiring minimal supervision.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS –

  • Strong Wealth Management experience with Series 99 certification.
  • Agile methodology experience.
  • Testing mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, LSEG T1, Financial Planning Tools, Wealth Management applications a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tool.

                                      

 JOB LOCATION –

  • Center City Philadelphia, PA with partial telecommuting arrangement.
