Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer/Admin with 6+ years of hands-on expertise in ETL development, administration, and data integration. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize large-scale data processing solutions while ensuring platform stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
β Design, develop, and maintain Ab Initio ETL graphs for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
β Manage Ab Initio Co>Operating System, GDE, EME, Conduct>IT, and Control Center.
β Perform Ab Initio Administration tasks including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
β Optimize ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
β Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
β Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
β Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
β Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and mentoring to junior team members.
Required Skills & Experience
π― 6+ years of professional experience in Ab Initio ETL development and administration.
π― Strong expertise in Ab Initio GDE, EME, Co>Operating System, Conduct>IT, Control Center.
π― Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL methodologies, and performance tuning.
π― Experience with Unix/Linux scripting, SQL, and relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, DB2, etc.).
π― Familiarity with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
π― Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Educational Background
π Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
π Masterβs degree preferred but not mandatory.
Nice-to-Have
π Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
π Knowledge of data governance tools and metadata management.
