Job Title: Snowflake Architect
Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Snowflake-based data architecture solutions to support scalable and high-performance data processing and analytics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective data models.
- Migrate legacy data warehouses to Snowflake, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
- Develop and enforce data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Optimize Snowflake configurations and SQL queries to improve performance and cost-efficiency.
- Design ETL/ELT pipelines and integrate data from various sources using tools such as dbt, Informatica, Apache Airflow, or custom scripts.
- Implement data governance, access control, and security policies aligned with organizational requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data engineers and analysts.
- Stay up to date with Snowflake features and emerging data technologies to continuously improve the platform.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture or data engineering roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning, security, and role-based access.
- Expertise in SQL, data modeling (dimensional and normalized), and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in tools like dbt, Fivetran, Talend, or Informatica.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and version control (e.g., Git).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Snowflake certification (SnowPro Advanced Architect or equivalent).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Databricks).
