Job Details

The client is seeking a desktop field technician to support their Windows 11 deployment project, which coincides with their Epic readiness initiative. This project aims to prepare for the transition at the Hospital, which will be adopting the Epic EMR system in November 2025 to align with the main EMR.

Responsibilities:

The technician will be responsible for deploying hardware, including swapping monitors and other equipment, imaging devices with Windows 11, and setting up various hardware such as laptops, desktops, tablets, scanners, credit card readers, and e-signature pads. Additionally, they will test the systems to ensure they are functioning correctly, assist with log-on issues, and escalate any unresolved problems. Effective communication with the project team, including PMs, technicians, practices, the internal Epic Tech team, and the internal Desktop and Network Infra teams, is essential. The technician will also need to update Excel spreadsheets with relevant asset information.

Project Timeline:

The deployment will occur from early June through the end of July, with a possibility of extension until September/October.

Work Hours:

Most tasks will be performed during standard work hours (Monday - Friday; 9 am - 5 pm). However, there may be work scheduled outside of these hours depending on the availability of physician practices for data collection, which could involve starting earlier or working later on certain days.

Locations:

The work will be carried out at the hospital in Oceanside, a large facility in Hicksville, and 28-30 remote sites around Nassau County, including Baldwin, Freeport, Merrick, Valley Stream, Oceanside, Bellmore, Levittown, Huntington Station, Hewlett, Long Beach, Lynbrook, Rockville Centre, and Hempstead.

Physical Requirements:

The technician must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
