Role: Senior IT Interface Analyst
Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Duration: 1+ year
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Job Summary:

The Senior IT Interface Analyst will lead the configuration and enhancement of new and existing interfaces for Epic applications and related ancillary systems. The role involves troubleshooting, technical problem resolution, and collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and enhance interfaces for Epic applications and ancillary systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and analyze solutions in Cloverleaf and Epic Bridges.
  • Monitor and maintain a complex interface environment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Provide consultation on integration solutions and architecture.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, application analysts, and operational departments to resolve workflow impacts.
  • Lead workflow/dataflow sessions and manage requirement changes with senior stakeholders.
  • Conduct occasional end-user training for Epic Bridges tools.
  • Work closely with clinicians, IT groups, and vendors to define needs and implement solutions.
  • Estimate work effort and resource requirements for Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Manage medium-to-complex Epic and integration-related issues in HFHS HELIOS (Epic) systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, resolve incidents, and conduct testing.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to junior Interface Analysts when necessary.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience (healthcare experience preferred).
  • Strong technical expertise in software engineering, design, testing, debugging, and support.
  • In-depth knowledge of HL7, XML, ANSI X12 healthcare messaging standards.
  • Familiarity with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in at least two (2) major system implementations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, 5+ additional years of experience in system integration within a healthcare environment.

Certifications (Required or Obtainable within 6 Months):

  • Epic Bridges Certification (Must obtain within 6 months if not already certified).
  • Cloverleaf Interface Engine Certification (Version 20.1 or higher) (Must obtain within 6 months if not already certified).
  • Epic Certification preferred.
