Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled BI Developer with strong experience in Microsoft Fabric to design, develop, and maintain scalable business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will transform complex data into actionable insights using modern analytics tools, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and OneLake).
- Build and optimize Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards.
- Develop data pipelines using Fabric Data Engineering and Data Factory capabilities.
- Implement data modeling best practices (star/snowflake schemas, performance tuning).
- Write and optimize SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M).
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across BI solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Monitor and improve performance, scalability, and reliability of BI workloads.
- Document BI solutions, data models, and development standards.
- Support and enhance existing BI reports and datasets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Analyst.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (or strong background in Azure Synapse / Power BI with Fabric transition experience).
- Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX and data modeling.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and role-based access control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure services (Azure SQL, ADLS, Synapse, Data Factory).
- Knowledge of Python or Spark in Fabric notebooks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for BI and analytics solutions.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-300, Fabric-related certifications).
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
