Junior Security Analyst

Genesis10 is seeking a Junior Security Analyst. This is a fully remote 15+ month contract role, with an insurance company in Milwaukee, WI.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of antivirus and endpoint management infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage dashboards reporting the health of security tools on endpoints.
• Perform routine checks and updates to ensure security tools are functioning optimally.

Incident Response:

• Act as a point of contact to take on operational related work.
• Will monitor incident queue and conduct quarterly app checks.
• Assist with taking point on monitoring dashboards and slack channels where work requests come through.
• Respond to incident tickets related to endpoint security issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with senior security team members to investigate and resolve security incidents.
• Document incident resolutions and contribute to the development of knowledge base articles.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of ServiceNow (specifically for incident queue monitoring).
• Familiar with working with end-users who are calling in with issues.
• Experience in helpdesk support/calling.
• Basic understanding of antivirus, endpoint management, and DLP technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)
• Antivirus

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals)

Pay rate: $16-18/hr W2
