Job Title: Mainframe Systems Programmer
Location: Hybrid Work Model (Onsite 3 days/week, Remote option available)
Join our dedicated team of tech enthusiasts, ensuring top-notch system performance and addressing technical challenges with a customer-centric approach. We're looking for an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer to manage and enhance our client's IBM z/OS MQ mainframe environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve test and production issues promptly.
- Cater to customer requests, including creating new queues, queue managers, and adjusting queue depths.
- Participate in diverse projects, from installing the latest MQ release to configuring MQ on servers.
- Analyze error reports and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Conduct internal monitoring, such as checking queue depth.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 6 years of IT work experience, including varied systems programming experience.
- Proficiency in JCL, mainframe/host experience, IBM z/OS MQ mainframe, experience creating/maintaining queue managers and queues.
- Familiarity with CICS, IBM WebSphere MQ, Cobol, Unix & zLinux is a plus.
Please note: This role operates in a fast-paced setting with a hybrid work schedule (onsite 3 days per week, with remote option available). Standard hours are 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, Monday Friday, with occasional overtime, on-call, weekends, and off-hours once fully trained. This position is not suitable for candidates with only user-level MQ knowledge or those lacking hands-on systems programming experience.
