Security Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Remote Security Analyst to monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents across our organization. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in protecting our systems, data, and networks from cyber threats, ensuring our infrastructure remains secure and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor security alerts and logs from various systems and tools to identify potential security threats.

Conduct thorough analysis of security incidents and recommend appropriate remediation steps.

Implement and manage security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.

Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.

Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.

Stay current on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.

Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into infrastructure and application development.

Prepare detailed reports and documentation on security incidents and responses.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Security Analyst, Security Engineer, or similar role.

Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO, NIST, GDPR).

Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, antivirus, intrusion detection, and vulnerability scanning.

Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
