Role: Db2 data engineer / senior developer
Must have: db2 IBM iseries platform
Job Description
Required skills:
- Develop and maintain various database applications on the IBM iSeries platform, utilizing dynamic SQL, temporary and temporal tables, convert RPG code to SQL stored procedures, commitment control, procedures, table functions, UDFs, performance tuning, logging and exception handling.
- Expert SQL stored procedures development experience in db2 IBM iseries platform. (***Please note that this is a MUST. If they just have embedded SQL and RPG experience, those candidates will not be considered.)
- Able to read RPGIV, RPGLE, RPGFree programs, embedded SQL
- Conversion/modernization experience from RPG to SQL stored procedures in db2
- IBM tools such as Aldon, RDI, ACS etc.
- Application development experience interacting with front end using REST APIs, Json, XML
- Exposure to python, microservices, VS code IDE development
