Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Grouper Administrator with MAGE administration expertise to support Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations. The role involves managing access control, group lifecycle management, and integration with enterprise IAM systems to ensure secure and compliant access across applications.
Key Responsibilities
Grouper Administration
Install, configure, and maintain Internet2 Grouper in enterprise environments.
Manage group lifecycle, access policies, memberships, and roles.
Design and maintain Grouper data models, stems, and composite groups.
Integrate Grouper with IAM systems such as SSO, LDAP, Active Directory, and downstream applications.
Troubleshoot Grouper issues related to provisioning, sync, and performance.
Implement best practices for access governance and entitlement management.
MAGE Administration
Administer and support MAGE (IAM / Access Management platform) components.
Configure access policies, workflows, and role-based access controls.
Perform user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access certification processes.
Monitor system health, logs, and resolve operational issues.
Support integrations between MAGE and IAM tools such as Grouper, LDAP, AD, and SSO providers.
IAM Operations & Support
Collaborate with security, application, and infrastructure teams.
Participate in IAM onboarding, migrations, and enhancements.
Ensure compliance with security standards and audit requirements.
Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations if required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience with Grouper IAM (Administration & Support).
Hands-on experience administering MAGE or similar IAM platforms.
Solid understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts.
Experience with LDAP, Active Directory, SSO (SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
Experience with scripting (Shell, Python, or similar) is a plus.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large enterprise or higher-education IAM environments.
Knowledge of IGA (Identity Governance & Administration) frameworks.
Exposure to cloud IAM integrations (AWS, Azure AD, Google Cloud Platform).
IAM or security certifications are a plus.
