TOP SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Two of the candidates to have Symitar admin experience. Most of the team is in MS SQL.
2. Five years of experience related to the support of Applications, Databases, or technical system-level experience(with emphasis on Windows Servers and BackOffice Suite) is required. Financial institution experience is preferred.

Description
The Applications Database Support Analyst will update, upgrade, test, implement, and support the corporate business applications and databases environment, with emphasis on speed, efficiency, and reliability. They will perform system administration duties for selected systems.
  • Responds to help desk calls regarding business application and database issues.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and resolves application and data integrity issues, including remote access.
  • Performs cross training for members of Application and Database Support Team.
  • Works with third-party service providers to protect databases from unauthorized access, and assists in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving interface issues.
  • Performs upgrades, updates, releases, and patches to applications and databases.
  • Performs regular backups, restorations, and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity.
  • Researches, understands, and evaluates new technologies and concepts in the business applications and database environment.
  • Analyzes database usage patterns and plans for future capacity needs.
  • Assesses, coordinates, and reviews all issues and impacts associated with applications support and business processes.
  • Implements, monitors, and enforces corporate data security activities for network and security support functions.
  • Provides technical knowledge about applications and databases.
  • Recommends methods of improving system stability, availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Contributes to disaster recovery planning to ensure the continuous operation of business applications and databases.
  • Protects and ensures the stability of the operational systems as well as maintains data integrity.
  • Implements, monitors, and enforces corporate data security activities.
  • Maintains up-to-date documentation of database configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Maintains database that supports the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment.
  • Responds to escalated help desk calls regarding business application and database issues, troubleshoots any failed components, and performs support tasks to ensure the rapid return of service for the business application.
  • Assists with the installation, operation and maintenance of new technologies ensuring adherence to organization systems architecture standards, and security standards and acts as both a project technical and knowledge resource as needed.
  • Researches, understands, and evaluates new technologies and concepts in the business applications and database environment.
  • Develops and maintains a detailed knowledge of corporate business applications and databases across the corporate enterprise.
  • Supports multiple units for upgrades, updates, and implementation of business applications.
  • Maintains accurate documentation for scheduling and release versioning of business applications.
  • Coordinates activities with external 3rd party vendors in order to implement new systems projects as well as analysis and resolution of systems problems or other anomalies.
  • Identifies and interprets patterns and trends, assesses data quality, and eliminates irrelevant data.
  • Tests all business applications and communications from all corporate locations to the primary and backup data centers.
  • Monitors and maintains end-user security authorization and access to core systems including authorized access and usage of computing resources.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to utilize software diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and/or monitor business applications and databases or the performance of the systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows servers, Microsoft SQL server, Active Directory, UNIX environments, virtualization, electronic systems, systems administration, and networking.
  • Working knowledge of Windows server operating systems, Workstations, Back Office Suite, Microsoft Office, and other software packages to diagnose equipment, software, or operational problems.
  • Proficient knowledge of using, troubleshooting, and maintaining business applications and databases within a networking environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an attention to detail in order to work multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent working knowledge of using, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex business applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and have strong relationship-building skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
