Role: Business Analyst with Project Management and Card issuance
Location: Atlanta, GA/ New Jersey
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong project management capabilities and in-depth experience in card issuance systems, including debit, credit, and gift card programs. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the successful delivery of card issuance projects from inception to deployment.
Key Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze business requirements related to card issuance systems and processes.

Lead or support projects focused on new card products, card lifecycle management, and integration with core banking systems or third-party vendors.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, compliance, operations, and product teams.

Document current and future state business processes, use cases, and workflows.

Support vendor evaluation, onboarding, and integration for card production, personalization, and fulfillment services.

Track project milestones, manage timelines, and provide status updates to stakeholders.

Coordinate with card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) for product compliance, certifications, and testing.

Analyze and optimize card issuance processes including digital issuance, tokenization, and instant issuance.

Prepare and execute user acceptance testing (UAT), validating end-to-end card issuance functionality.

Identify risks and issues proactively and recommend mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, with at least 2 years in card issuance.

Hands-on experience with debit, credit, and/or gift card issuance platforms (e.g., FIS, TSYS, Marqeta, Galileo, etc.).

Strong knowledge of card network rules, EMV standards, PCI compliance, and tokenization (Apple Pay, Google Pay).

Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

Experience managing cross-functional projects, preferably in fintech or banking.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or other project tracking tools.
