Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Product Owner - Data for a direct placement assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities :
  • Mentoring and supporting the team to drive discussions with business stakeholders, make sure prioritization is in place, work and manage end-to-end initiatives, project enhancements, gather and document requirements, provide implementation / post-implementation support, interact with stakeholders at many levels of the organization, from junior analysts to senior management across multiple departments.
  • Will make clear and simple solutions and champion high standards of business analysis and its best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for business analysis within the organization.
  • Contribute to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
    • Participate in formulating and setting strategic direction for the transaction testing process, organization and architecture covering Finance across the firm businesses, products, functions and locations
    • Assist in setting business and information architecture standards for Finance
  • Understand data requirements and coordinate across data teams, understand data details and dependencies to support Transaction testing.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for strategic data analysis, identify insights and implications as well as make strategic recommendations, develop data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, leveraging diplomacy to guide, influence and convince internal stakeholders.
  • Work with development team to ensure data ingestion/recon is completed within stipulated SLA. Support Sampling/profiling as required.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of the business impact of process design and technical contributions.
  • Support delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions.
  • Consult on business operations offering authoritative advice to influence significant business outcomes.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the firm, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in people management.
  • 5+ years of experience in working within Data space
  • 7+ years of experience in Data analysis and working on enterprise applications.
  • 5+ yeas experience as Product owner and detailed understanding of latest data technologies and solutions towards how they can help solve for next generation business needs.
  • Comprehensive experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Agile technologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience using tools statistical modeling
  • Diverse functional experience (e.g. Finance business, product development, analytics)
  • Experience in Finance data sources and finance business knowledge must
