Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and meticulous Information Security Technician to join our top-notch IT team at Brightstar Lottery in Lakeland, FL. This is an outstanding opportunity to start a career in a secure manufacturing environment, contributing to safeguarding our company's data and infrastructure. If you possess a basic knowledge of IT and a strong interest in cybersecurity, this entry-level role is ideal for you. You will have a key role in monitoring systems, managing security tools, and ensuring the seamless protection of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts and assist in responding to potential threats.
  • Work with critical security tools.
  • Assist with user access reviews and password management.
  • Support the IT team in applying security patches and updates.
  • Document security procedures and maintain compliance records.
  • Participate in security awareness initiatives and training sessions.
  • Assist in investigations of security incidents under supervision.
  • Ensure systems and devices strictly follow company security policies.
  • Stay informed about cybersecurity trends and standard methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
  • Foundational understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux, VMware vCenter and Omnissa VDI Horizon Client environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Proven communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Familiarity with running vulnerability scans and performing remediations on VM servers.

Work Environment:

Office and manufacturing floor settings with exposure to secure systems and equipment.

May require occasional after-hours support or on-call availability.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $39,848 - $103,002. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
