Title: Technical Release Engineer

Location : Issaquah, WA (Hybrid 3 days onsite/week)

Start Date: ASAP

Release Planning: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to plan release schedules for iOS and Android applications. Ensure alignment with business objectives and priorities.

  1. Release Coordination: Coordinate activities across multiple teams involved in the release process, including development, quality assurance, deployment, and operations teams. Facilitate communication and resolve conflicts to ensure smooth execution of releases.
  2. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and dependencies that could impact the release schedule or quality of the applications. Work with teams to mitigate risks and develop contingency plans.
  3. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for iOS and Android applications. Ensure that releases are delivered efficiently and reliably.
  4. Quality Assurance: Work closely with QA teams to establish testing strategies and ensure that releases meet quality standards. Monitor and analyze metrics related to application performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Release Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of release processes, including release notes, deployment instructions, and version control. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  6. Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of iOS and Android applications post-release, including app crashes, performance issues, and user feedback. Collaborate with development teams to address any issues and release patches or updates as necessary.
  7. Stakeholder Communication: Keep stakeholders informed about the status of releases, including progress, milestones, and any issues or delays. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the release process, such as implementing new tools or practices to increase efficiency and reduce time-to-market. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the release train team.
  9. Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies related to iOS and Android development, as well as release management practices. Provide guidance and support to development teams on technical issues and best practices.
