Location: This roles requires 50% remote and 50% travel to Tulsa, Longview, Memphis.

 

Position Overview

The Teamcenter Solution Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and implementing end-to-end PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions using Siemens Teamcenter. The role focuses on aligning engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise system processes to ensure digital continuity across the product lifecycle. The architect will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, PLM functional teams, and technical development teams to ensure that Teamcenter aligns with enterprise architecture, scalability, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Lead the overall architecture, configuration, and customization of Siemens Teamcenter.

• Translate business and engineering requirements into scalable Teamcenter functional and technical designs.

• Define integration strategies between Teamcenter and ERP (SAP), CRM, CAD (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and Data Lake systems.

• Develop and maintain end-to-end architecture blueprints, data models, and technical documentation.

• Define and enforce standards, templates, and best practices for Teamcenter usage across business units.

Implementation & Delivery

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and deployment of Teamcenter components.

• Define and lead migration, upgrade, and data synchronization activities.

• Ensure alignment of solutions with PLM security models, compliance, and access control standards.

• Review and validate functional specifications, custom extensions, and integration designs developed by implementation partners.

• Support system performance tuning, scalability planning, and deployment automation.

Integration & Collaboration

• Partner with SAP and Microsoft CRM architects to design seamless integrations for material master, BOMs, engineering change management, and document flows.

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to streamline Engineering Change Notice (ECN) and Engineering-to-Manufacturing processes.

• Ensure smooth alignment between Teamcenter data model and SAP material master, variant configuration, and production structures.

Governance & Leadership

• Serve as the PLM Design Authority ensuring compliance with enterprise IT governance.

• Lead solution review boards, provide technical oversight, and approve architecture deviations.

• Mentor and guide PLM administrators, developers, and business analysts.

• Contribute to the roadmap for Teamcenter upgrades, integrations, and digital thread initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Siemens Teamcenter with at least 5+ years in architecture or lead design roles.

• Deep understanding of Teamcenter modules such as Product Data Management, BOM Management, Change Management, Document Management, and Classification.

• Proven experience integrating Teamcenter with SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics, and CAD systems.

• Experience defining and implementing custom workflows, access models, and data schemas.

• Familiarity with PLM deployment in cloud and hybrid environments (AWS/Azure).

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

• Siemens Teamcenter certification preferred.

• Exposure to Teamcenter Manufacturing, Requirements Management, or Supplier Collaboration modules.

• Experience working in discrete manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial machinery environments.
