Desktop Technician II

Description:
We are seeking a Desktop consultant for a contract engagement. This role requires onsite presence in De Pere five days a week. The project involves transitioning from Windows 10 to Windows 11. In this role, you will be responsible for installing patches, rerunning the Rapid7 tool to verify, and marking the tracking sheet complete. We are looking for a skilled Desktop Technician with strong expertise in patch management to help with this project!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze lists of missing Windows 10 & 11 or third-party application patches, apply missing patches to target systems via MECM or manually while working with the end user, and validate that vulnerabilities have been mitigated using a vulnerability management tool.
• Technically troubleshoot and resolve issues with Microsoft Windows and third-party application patches not applying.
• Integrate vulnerability scan data from Rapid7 into patch planning and remediation strategies.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track patch compliance and provide visibility to IT leadership and auditors.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Windows 10 & 11 administration experience.
• 3+ years of patch management experience.
• Highly organized with the ability to track patch remediation through resolution, manage multiple tickets simultaneously, and update tracking methods.
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills and experience working directly with end users.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
