Job Description:
  • The Software Development Manager will lead software development initiatives, manage a team of developers, and ensure adherence to quality and project standards.
  • This role combines technical expertise with leadership and management responsibilities, overseeing software projects from design through delivery while supporting personnel development and organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage software development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
  • Administer company personnel policies and staffing standards, including interviewing, hiring, and performance management.
  • Develop colleague performance plans, conduct performance discussions, and provide coaching, guidance, and motivation to maximize team performance.
  • Support and contribute to the organization s quality programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Management, or related field; Master s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including 7 years in software development.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on programming experience in database and data-driven applications preferred.
  • High-level knowledge of software development areas including SDLC methodologies, specification development, security, modularization, and logic specifications.
  • Strong analytical, interpretive, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership, management, and motivational skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
  • Requires clear conceptual thinking, judgment, problem-solving, and discretion.
  • Ability to handle work-related stress and multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Computer keyboarding, travel as required.
