Job Title: Sr.Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Location: Wilmington, DE, Urbandale, IA, Manassas, VA, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)
Contract: 6+ Months
Exp: 12-15 +Years
Description
  • Sr. SRE will be working on leading SRE implementation at Berkeley. New org stood up this year.
  • Will mentor SRE engineers and implement and enable SRE practice across the footprint of BTS.
  • Day job will be identifying pilot experiments with different applications and enabling SRE practice. Also in the journey of identifying a centralized observatory platform.
  • Person will engage in pilot efforts and make that observatory platform enabled.
  • Sr. technical resource with technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Will be working hands-on and establishing SRE dashboards as a team.
  • Technical mentor and leading implementation mentor engineers and lead projects Key difference: understanding Berkeley has so many companies, it can't be monitoring the 60+ companies and applications.
  • Goal is to enable SRE practice Have a long project to enable SRE practice at Berkley Will need to bring SRE knowledge in terms of what SLOs you need to set up, what SLIs you should work on, and the budget to be established.
  • Then replicate that practice within the business Team.
  • Must-haves: Soft technical mentoring experience leading SRE engineers SRE Experience should have 7+ years of implementations and putting practice into play.
  • Technical Scripting background. Any one of the languages Good SQL experience Experience in Github, ansible, terraform.
