Job Details

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Elgin, IL Details for the position are as follows:
  • $28hr based on previous experience.
  • This is an onsite position. 1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:15 PM
  • 24+ month contract - (potential to extend or convert based on performance & budget).
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation systems, a strong technical background, and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in a related industrial automation or technician role, troubleshooting and maintaining complex industrial automation equipment
  • Education: Associate s Degree in Automation Technology, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. (Bachelor s Degree preferred)
  • Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, computers, and automated systems.
  • Experience with automation software and control systems.
  • Familiarity with motion sensors, control components, pneumatic devices, and photosensors.
  • Maintain and repair computer-controlled systems and robotic devices in industrial and commercial settings.
  • Provide immediate response to equipment malfunctions and escalate unresolved issues to management and engineering teams.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and diagnostics as outlined in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose automation control systems using schematics, diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Install, configure, and commission new robotic systems and production equipment, including hardware upgrades.
  • Execute automation programming tasks and support software adjustments in collaboration with engineering.
  • Record and analyze data related to root cause analysis, corrective actions, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and support process improvements and assist engineering teams with process changes.
  • Communicate effectively with production, quality, engineering, and management teams.
  • Support machine configuration, fixture setups, and adjustments for operators.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, training, and EHS standards.
  • Utilize advanced technical knowledge to analyze and resolve complex hardware issues.
