Job Summary:

This high-level employee will be responsible for improving the overall Virtual Desktop (VDI) experience through automation and design. You will provide guidance and plans for the existing and future desktop virtualization architectures and desktop virtualization roadmaps. This position is responsible for collaborating with Virtualization Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, and Infrastructure Service Management teams in the engineering and design area of responsibility; participating in the design and build of repeatable patterns (build-kits) to improve deployment times for non-prod and prod environments; transitioning knowledge to Infrastructure Operations.

NOTE: This hybrid role can be located in CHICAGO IL or RICHARDSON TX ~ relocation will not be offered; sponsorship is not available.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and 5 years in Information Technology or relevant experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 7 year Information Technology experience OR 9 years Information Technology experience.
• ITIL v3 / v4
• Desktop application troubleshooting
• Experience administering Microsoft Windows 10/11 environments.
• Experience managing on enterprise scale of 20k plus endpoints
• Experience working with Citrix & Microsoft Virtual desktop and application environments
• Experience working on agile teams
• Experience with Scripting PowerShell
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
• Experience with Microsoft modern management Azure Cloud, Azure AD, Intune, Auto Pilot, FSLogix, Azure Virtual Desktop
• Experience with full life cycle management of software and hardware
• Experience configuring, remediating, and deploying Microsoft Remote Applications
• Experience with creating layered operating system images
• Application and work-style discovery, rationalization and application packaging
• Citrix Virtual Applications (XenApp) and Virtual Desktops (XenDesktop)
• Citrix workspace environment management
• Citrix user profile management
• Citrix Architecture and Design
• ADC / Netscaler Gateway including GSLB
• VMware vSphere Hyper-visor
• Microsoft Hyper-V
• Microsoft Windows Server OS (2012 2022)
